After five years in operation, the team realised, that like most five year olds, Little Dance had grown.

The business had outgrown its current location....so the search began.

We wanted a showroom that would be bright, happy, and vibrant. It had to be easy for our clients to get to, and with plenty of safe parking for mums with bubs and kids. Good coffee and easy food close by would be good too please!

After several long months of careful fit out, the move is now complete...Yippeee!!!

Little Dance's new showroom is at Shop 5, 1565 Burwood Hwy, Tecoma. Just over the road from Tecoma Primary School. There is plenty of safe parking next to and at the rear of the shop, which is super safe for mums with prams.

Our large window display makes casual browsing easy, and fun, and of course our entire range from invitations to special party supplies, gifts and decorations is on display. If you like, you can shop in person, or browse then buy online.

If you don't want to wait for the postman, we have had a special modification added to our shopping cart that means you can buy online then call in and collect your order once we have confirmed it is ready for you.

Since we have opened, we have been thrilled to meet many of our clients, and the feedback we have received has been so encouraging.

So if you would like to visit our shop in person the team at Little Dance would love to see you!

Here's our address again Shop 5, 1565 Burwood Hwy, Tecoma, Victoria 3160.

I was so excited when good friend Meaghan shared that she was pregnant!  As soon as the news was out I started planning her baby shower, although it did take a few months to decide on a theme.

Finally we decided on a Baby Forest Animals theme and from then on it was full steam ahead planning, planning, planning.

The design below for Meaghans Invitation was exclusively and especially created for this occasion by our favourite illustrator Lisa. I adore Lisa's work and if you browse through our website you might just recognise her style on a few other designs we have.

Our beautiful felt toadstools came all the way from Connecticut and were handmade by Ashleigh at "The Burbs" you can find her beautiful work listed on her Facebook page.  I have to say that I was really impressed with the quality of our felt toadstools and look forward to working with Ashleigh again in the future.

I've known Lisa from Cakes by Lisa for a while now and we work together often.  As always she impresses with her baking creations. My brief was pretty simple, I wanted something beautiful to fit in with our theme! I supplied her with the edible images and left the rest up to her.  Thanks Lisa xox

The web is such a wealth of inspiration, I came across Ron and Gill from Bird's The Word who create the cute little rustic boxes for our cake pops and our cookie basket.  If ever you are in the area you can usually find them at Craft Markets Australia at Mornington Racecourse.

A few of our other yummies included were our personalised chocolate bars, sweet treat boxes and famous personalised lollypops.

We were spoilt for choice of finger foods by my gorgeous cousin Emily at Emilys Epicure who catered Meaghans baby shower for me.

To keep us all entertained I initially asked each guest to bring along a baby shower game that we could all participate in.  Some of the baby shower games we played were:

  • Guess the Girth - we each had to cut a piece of string to the length that we thought Meaghan's girth was, closest match won!
  • Baby Born - Jelly babies were frozen inside of iceblocks.  The first to suck their baby out won.  You're not allowed to use your hands, chew or crunch the ice.
  • Guessing Game - Guess how many jelly babies are in the baby bottle.
  • I supplied onesies and singlets along with fabric paint and we all painted our own special design onto one for Meaghan to keep. (Note these take a while to dry so best to do this one first so they have enough time to dry).
  • Baby Names - each guest was given a sheet with the alphabet running down the page. The first person to write a babies name next to each letter won.  A few of us got stuck with the letter U!!
  • Baby Pins - each guest was given 3 large nappy pins.  The aim of the game is not to mention the word "Baby".  Each time you mentioned the word "Baby" you lost a pin, the pin going to the person who noticed it.  The winner was the person who had the most pins at the end of the day.  A very funny game and rather hard when you have a bunch of mums throwing trick questions throughout the afternoon!

I have to say that we had such a ball and now all that is left to do is patiently wait... but not long now, Meaghans due in the first week of September!!

The research team at Little Dance have been carefully testing various combinations of chocolate and cuteness until we came up with exactly the right mix.

We had to test an awful lot of chocolate mind you, to get it just right. Having said that, we strive for constant improvement, so rest assured we are constantly testing more chocolates, just  in case we missed something!

Whether the pressure is on to add that extra “wow” factor, or simply to add a stunning touch to your party favours, how gorgeous are these personalized choccies?

The example we have shown here is for a baby shower, however we have done these for christening favor chocolates, custom wedding chocolate bar wrappers, as well as corporate and business gifts

Now you can truly make your event stand out from the rest, with personalised chocolate bars that match your invitation or party theme! They can even be personalized with your own message to your guests!

So what is an Apothecary jar? And what is an Apothecary?

An Apothecary is the predecessor of the modern pharmacist. They would dispense medicines, reccommend treatments, as well as diagnose minor ailments. And the "medicines" that they sold would be stored in lovely, shapely jars with lids.

And so, today, we bring to you these lovely Apothecary jars for sale!

Handblown glass apothecary jars are ideal as candy bar jars for weddings, parties, corporate functions, as well as retail displays.

Short Apothecary glass canister / Candy Jar - La Desire!

 apothecary-jar-la-desire.jpg

The La Desire Glass Candy Jar stands approximately 33cm tall with a 17cm opening and holds 4 litres

Medium Apothecary glass canister / Candy Jar - La Passion

Tall-and-skinny-Apothecary-Jar.jpg

The La Passion Glass Candy Jar stands approximately 43cm tall with a 10cm opening and holds 2.5 litres

Tall Apothecary glass canister / Candy Jar - L'amour

Large-apothecary-jar-1.jpg

The L'Amour Glass Candy Jar stands approximately 47cm tall with a 20cm opening and holds 7 litres

Our apothecary jars are without flaws excepting minor imperfections which occur during the handblown glassmaking process. The glass is perfectly transparent!

Some clever uses of our apothecary jars include

In the bathroom – storage for bath salts, cotton balls or bath bombs

In the living room – River rocks, semi precious stones, or marbles

In the kitchen – Holds a very pretty fruit display or visitor candies!

So there we are  - for a beautiful way to store or display small items that are in the public eye, we have found these to be ideal.

Kids love to do the things that Mum and Dad do. So we thought lets get the kids doing what we do – sort of – and all have fun at the same time! We love good party ideas!

And now we could fast forward to the day of the party but we should let you in on the inside gossip as to how you can have a party like this ...it took small amount of effort but was well worth it, so much fun for all involved!!!

You can find our chefs party invitations along with all the matching accessories under our Themed Party Invitations

TB1102-Little-Master-Chef-Invitation.jpg

As our cooking party arrived, each were issued with a Chefs Hat and a Cooking Apron, personalised with the first initial of their name.  The effect of this was TERRIFIC – straight away the boys bonded with each other, as if to say, here we are, together, again, and we are here TO HAVE A GOOD TIME TOGETHER!!!  A bit of a “Stand By Me” moment. If you are going to have a party this is a great way to get all of the guests on the same level, as well as help those who might be a bit shy to feel at home.

How cute are these Chefs Party Hats and Chefs Party Aprons??

Chef-Cooking-Party-Slide-5.jpg

And so it was, the Chefs hats, aprons and personalized T shirts went on. And the boys went wild

After the initial welcomes, our little cooks did their best to spoil their looks – they insisted on playing.  And jumping. And running. And riding scooters. ALL IN CHEF HATS AND APRONS – hilarious and some great photos were taken by mums and dads. While they were doing that we set up the mixing table and ingredients outside, so any mess....just didn’t matter.

And then the call went out...."Boys....who wants to make cakes....!!!"

Wow. The response was instant. They flew to the table and began mixing icing, toppings and cupcakes and biscuits.

It was messy.

It got ugly.

It got eaten.

Here is a list of some of the things we used in our Mini Masters Chef Cooking Birthday Party

Cookies - We had two types of cookies.

Chef-Cooking-Party-Slide-3.jpg

We had blank cookies made that were larger than the ones you generally get in Supermarkets. Little Dance sells these cookies here! The kids later decorated them with all kinds of super sweet party icings, sparkles and fan-dangles.

We also custom printed toppers for the cookies - Little Dance can do this for you – the kids thought they were the best, they felt like they were in a TV program like Master Chef! And they enjoyed biting the birthday boys head off....Hmmm..

Cupcakes – Again, we used a mixture of plain cupcakes and cupcakes with edible images printed on them. Our Young Chefs Party Cupcakes Edible Image Personalized Toppers can be purchased at this link – cupcake toppers.

The printed cake toppers  added atmosphere, the plain ones were decorated to within an inch of our lives by the now fully sugar loaded kids.

The Birthday Cake :  Little Dance Invitations custom made an edible image photo birthday cake icing sheet for this birthday and had a lovely cake made. White chocolate cake, sooo moist, delicious, and we hope you will agree, gorgeous!!

The kids had sooo much fun we cannot wait to do this kind of thing again.

Who says boys dont cook?
