So what is an Apothecary jar? And what is an Apothecary?

An Apothecary is the predecessor of the modern pharmacist. They would dispense medicines, reccommend treatments, as well as diagnose minor ailments. And the "medicines" that they sold would be stored in lovely, shapely jars with lids.

And so, today, we bring to you these lovely Apothecary jars for sale!

Handblown glass apothecary jars are ideal as candy bar jars for weddings, parties, corporate functions, as well as retail displays.

For the first time in Australia, the who’s who of the e-retail industry will converge for one spectacular night as the Online Retail Industry Awards (ORIAs) capture centre stage in Sydney on Thursday 8 July, later this year.

Billed as "The night of nights for the nations best online retailers" The Online Retail Industry Awards was launched to recognise and reward deserving excellence in e-commerce.

Little Dance Invitations, Announcements & Personalised Party Supplies will be in the company of some of Australias online retail powerhouses including Deals Direct, Dominos, Red Balloon, Sportsgirl, City Beach, The ABC Shop, Clive Peeters and more!

We are absolutely thrilled (and somewhat honoured) to be a finalist in the following category

1. Best Pure-Play Online Retailer

This category is open to new and established pure-play online retailers without a physical store, who demonstrate best practice in merchandising, service, functionality and customer experience. Judging will be based not on overall size but on efficiency, ingenuity, dedication to customer experience and return on investment -source http://www.onlineretailer.net

Little Dance Invitations will go head to head with three very impressive online retail presences - we are VERY excited!

The judges for this event include these representatives from the following organisations:

Chair: Andy Powell, Director of Multichannel, Deloitte

John Debrincat, CEO, eCorner

Chris Hitchen, CEO, GetPrice.com.au

Robert Kinkade, Senior Manager, Accenture

Paul Marshall, CEO, Salmat DigitalForce

Ross McDonald, Head of Retail and Consumer Goods, Google Australia & New Zealand

Martin Newman, DIrector, Leading E-Commerce

Steven Noble, Senior Analyst, Forrester

To be singled out as a finalist by these very experienced net citzens is in our opinion an award in itself!!!

We eagerly flicked through the pages of this weeks TV Week to find a small mention of the Little Dance Invitations SpongeBob SquarePants Superhero Party Invitations.  Very exciting!

The article is all about themed birthday parties using Hi-5, Dora the Explorer, Hannah Montana and SpongeBob SquarePants.

I can't believe that we are in 2010 already.  I remember back to 1999 so clearly and how excited I was to be entering into 2000.  I celebrated NYE 1999 in Sydney down at the Opera House with past acquantances and remember watching the fireworks with an overwhelming feeling that 2000 was going to be a great year.

As so it came true, 2000 was the year that I met my husband and now that was a decade ago.  Hearing the word "decade" has given me a sense of "feeling old"!!!  Infact the year 2010 makes me feel old already and its only day 1!!!

Here's my personal prediction for this year.  The year 2010 is going to be about beginnings. Whether its true or not I'm going to use my own "made up" numerology and say that 9 is about completion, finishing off things and that 0 is the beginning again and starting afresh.  So here goes... cheers to 2010 and all new things!

Now... its time to seriously think about the birthdays coming up.  The biggest milestone birthday this year (that has come to the top of my head) is hubbies 40th Birthday in May. hmmmm best put on the thinking cap for that one.
