Apple and cinnamon cake ingredients:
1 Tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
cooking oil spray
2/3 of a cup caster sugar
½ cup apple sauce
1 apple grated
1 cup of sifted self raising flour
1/3 cup milk
You will also need
1 x 20 cm cake tin and baking paper
To be added after baking complete
Preparation and apple cake cooking instructions:
Preheat your oven to 180 degrees centigrade. Coat the cake tin with the cooking or olive oil spray and line it with the baking paper.
Beat together the sugar, egg, oil and vanilla extract for about 5 minutes, or until its light and fluffy. Fold the apple sauce, grated apple, flour and milk through the apple and cinnamon cake mixture. Once this is done spoon your cake mixture into the baking tin.
Bake the apple and cinnamon cake in the oven for 40 minutes, or until the cake springs back gently when touched. Take it out of the oven, and let it stand for 5 to 10 minutes before tipping from the baking tin. Take your extra cinnamon and caster sugar, mix together and sprinkle over the cake.
