To make your coloured caramel popcorn balls you will need these items:
1 small or medium saucepan
1 mixing spoon
1 large mixing bowl
Lollybags, either cellophane or plastic
Lollybag tags or ribbons for tying and closing the lolly bags
Coloured Caramel Popcorn Balls recipe ingredients:
20 grams canola spread
¼ cup light brown sugar
15 marshmallows (65 grams approx)
Several drops of foood colouring, of your preferred colour. Pink is good for fairy parties!
3 cups of popped popcorn.
Preparation or how to make caramel popcorn balls
Melt the canola spread in the saucepan over medium heat. Then add the light brown sugar and marshmallows, and stir until melted and well mixed together. Now add the food colouring.
Put the popped popcorn in a large mixing bowl, and stir in the melted sugar and marshmallow mix. Using your hands, make balls from the mix and allow to cool and set. Once cool, place in the lolly bags!
